Salt and Sacrifice for iphone instal1/26/2024 ![]() ![]() The 3 mages I've faced so far were awful, and basically just seemed like you're meant to soak damage and beat them into submission, because their AoE garbage is impossible to evade. The same quibbles I had with Sanctuary remain, but they've just added a lot more. I'm actually not having much fun with it a few hours in. These are my impressions based on the first 10 minutes of gameplay. Looking forward to running into some bosses. Early enemies are fairly similar to SS1, skinny half-naked mooks and some larger half-naked mooks who can be stunlocked to death safely. Enemy movement is a lot smoother than in SS1 - I am pretty impressed with the way even basic goblin-zombies actually leap from platform to platform to chase you if you run away from them and combos are spruced up as well. ![]() A bit of a letdown, but I'm willing to give it time.Ħ. Atmosphere is a lot more magical and mysterious and nowhere near as GRIMDARK as in the first game. Coming to this game straight from Elden Ring, I shudder at this - not tried the crafting system yet, but hoping for it to be un-derp.ĥ. There are crafting items lying around all over the place. Ammo also replenishes once you rest, so I may actually stick with a ranged combatant for this first playthrough.Ĥ. You can actually aim somewhat comfortably with the mouse, and you toggle ranged combat mode by holding a button, tab on keyboard by default. Not sure I like this change, personally.ģ. This is balanced out by there being a sprint button this time around, by default the alt-key. ![]() I thought it was poor optimisation, but it seems to be just slower, based on Youtube videos I've watched. ![]() Your character's basic walk is WAY slower than it was in SS1, which is really throwing me off. In best soulslike style, I imagine this will become useful at some point.Ģ. This seems to be how the game asks you what starting bonus item you want - I went with "vagrancy" due to being a smelly murderhobo, which gave me a wooden doll for a bonus. The character creation screen is kinda unchanged since SS1, except that it asks you to divulge which particular crime you have been convicted of to turn you into an inquisitor. Just started a new character, went with a ranger due to wanting to try out if the wonky ranged combat from SS1 has been improved. ![]()
